Alicia is an artist based in the Metro Atlanta area working in both fine art and illustration utilizing traditional and digital media.Hi, I'm Alicia and a lot of my art is inspired by nature, femninity, womanhood, as well as a reclamation of childhood joy vs childishness which is the focus of another project that I'm working on as a separate brand. I will provide more information on that at a later time.I exist in the intersectionality of several spheres black, disabled, woman, and artist. But I won't call myself marginalized because I feel like that not only doesn't encompass what is going on as it's a far greater issue than simply being considered marginalized, but it puts an idea in the heads of those who would look at me disfavorably and gives them the option to dismiss what I'm saying as complaints. Or even worse, to view my art as less than what it is. And my art is a statement.
